dancer / choreographer
performing art curator & cultural manager
Ana Đorđević is a Berlin-based performer, choreographer, and interdisciplinary artist. Her practice moves between dance, theatre, voice and performance art, exploring presence, transformation, and the shifting relationship between performer and audience.
Ana began her professional career as a classical dancer, performing at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Dortmund Theatre. She was then engaged as a soloist at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and as a first soloist at the Theater Augsburg.
Since 2016, Ana has pursued a successful freelance career, appearing at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Komische Oper Berlin, and within Berlin’s vibrant independent scene. Curently she is part of the dance ensemble of Landestheater Salzburg.
For me dance is the easiest way to communicate, to connect.
“Because whether we call it love, or friendship, or simple having a great conversation, achieving connection - authentic, meaningful connection - is the most important thing in life” Charles Duhigg.
Alongside her career as a dancer, Ana is also active as a cultural manager, performing arts curator and a choreographer.
Her choreographic work has been presented at institutions such as the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Kunsthaus Zürich, and Theater Magdeburg.
She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural and Media Management from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and continues to shape the performing arts landscape by producing dance performances, events, and concerts.
Since 2024, Ana is Managing Director of FRAMED Berlin, a non-profit association that employs a distinctive multidisciplinary curatorial approach to cultivate a space where diverse, and even opposing, perspectives can meet.
